The INSIGHT Research Program has opened its applications for summer 2023, Monday, November 14, 2022. The program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and first-year medical students, and will run June 20 – August 11, 2023. For 2023, the INSIGHT Program for graduate and undergraduate students has been adapted to an online format.
Over the course of eight weeks, INSIGHT interns conduct mentored research projects and engage in injury seminars, academic skills workshops, and behind-the-scenes (virtual) tours of medical facilities across Seattle. Interns also participate in injury and health-related shadowing experiences with physicians. All interns receive a stipend.
The INSIGHT Research Program is funded in part by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
INSIGHT culminates with the INSIGHT Research Symposium, featuring a competitive poster session where interns share their work with physicians, researchers, faculty, and peers.
