2024 FREE Beach Swimming Lessons

This summer, FREE Beach Swimming Lessons will be hosted at all Seattle area lifeguarded swimming beaches for children ages 6-16. Sign up today for a midday or evening session!

Beach Midday Sessions:

Monday – Friday, 12:15p – 12:45p

Session 1 – 7/1 – 7/12 (*No class on 7/4)
Session 2 – 7/15 – 7/26
Session 3 – 7/29 – 8/9
Session 4 – 8/12 – 8/23

Beach Evening Sessions:

Tuesday or Thursday, 5:30p – 6:00p

Tuesday Session – 7/2 – 8/20
Thursday Session – 7/11 – 8/22

To sign up for a FREE Beach Swimming Lesson by email, please provide the following information to parksaquatics@seattle.gov by Friday 6/21*:

Child’s Name
Child’s Age
Parent’s Name
Parent’s Phone Number
Preferred sessions/locations

*After Friday 6/21, all participants may sign up at any Seattle area swimming beach during regular operating hours. Please limit sign up to one session per child. Drop-ins available (pending space). Swimming lessons are weather dependent and may be cancelled for poor weather, or very hot weather when more lifeguard staff are needed for surveillance duty.
