In March, HIPRC’s Megan Moore, MSW, PhD received the inaugural Sidney Miller Endowed Assistant Professor in Direct Practice for the UW School of Social Work . The endowed professorship honors emeritus faculty member Sidney Miller and aims to bring clinical work to life by integrating theory and direct practice.
“Dr. Moore was selected for the position,” says School of Social Work Dean Ewina Uehara, MSW, PhD, “because of her expertise in social work direct practice; her cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, broadly focused on social work intervention development; her excellence in teaching and mentoring; and for the many contributions she makes to the School and the profession.
