HIPRC trainees Avanti Adhia, ScD, and Kelsey Conrick, MPH were elected to The Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) Board of Directors. Conrick will be the Student Member and Adhia will be the Early Career Professional Member on the Board of Directors.
Each year the SAVIR Board appoints a student member and an early career professional to serve as members of the SAVIR Board for a 1-year term. This provides the Board with perspectives from students and early career professionals, and also provides those early in their careers in injury and violence prevention research with an opportunity to serve in a leadership role that affects the field.
