By: HIPRC Date: February 12th, 2016

HIPRC’s INSIGHT: Injury Student Internship Training Program offers an outstanding opportunity to work on a research project in the field of injury. Elite high school, undergraduate and graduate students are matched to projects and project tasks, partnered with University of Washington Medical School faculty. Students meet and learn from peers and health professionals from across the country. Bringing together a diverse group of young people interested in health care and research allows HIPRC to create a unique and rich resource for students who seek to learn more about what they can accomplish in the field of injury and injury prevention. Past research areas include elucidating the risk factors and causes of injuries, injury prevention strategies, acute and chronic care of injured patients, outcomes from trauma, and interventions to return the injured individual to their full potential.
