Postdoctoral research fellowship now accepting applications

Postdoctoral scholars are invited to apply to the two-year Pediatric Injury Research Training Program (T-32) at University of Washington’s Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center. For physicians and clinical doctorates, the deadline is Nov 15, 2017, and the deadline for applicants with non-clinical doctorates is Dec. 1, 2017. Positions are available beginning July 1, 2018.

The fellowship focuses on rigorous training and coursework, close working relationships with faculty mentors, and an interdisciplinary approach to original research aimed at the prevention, care and rehabilitation of pediatric injury.

HIPRC recruits with attention to diversity in clinical and academic fields, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity and gender. Applicants from all health professions are welcome to the program, including specialties in pediatrics, surgery, urology, emergency medicine, anesthesia/critical care, psychiatry, psychology, epidemiology, health services, public health, social work and nursing.

Located in Seattle at Harborview Medical Center, the program benefits from the resources and expertise found at one of the top trauma centers in the world as well as the internationally renowned University of Washington. The fellowship is funded by a U.S. National Institute of Child Health and Human Development T-32 grant and directed by HIPRC core member Fred Rivara, M.D.
