Join us this April in Denver, Colorado at the 2023 SAVIR Annual Conference: Co-Creating Real-World Solutions: Science, Policy and Practice to Prevent Injury and Violence

HIPRC Core Faculty, Staff, and Trainees are excited to attend this year’s Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) conference happening Monday, April 17th through Wednesday, April 19th in Denver, Colorado.

Our attendees include:

  • Anna Bender, PhD, MSW presenting “A phenomenological analysis of sibling relationship quality among children exposed to intimate partner violence” on Monday, April 17th, 4:30p – 6:00p (PT)
  • Katie Wolff, PhD, MSHP
  • Xinyao de Grauw, MD, PhD, MPH
  • Steve Mooney, PhD

The theme for SAVIR 2023 is “Co-Creating Real-World Solutions: Science, Policy and Practice to Prevent Injury and Violence”. This year’s conference will focus on the translation of research into real-world settings and explore strategies for the co-design of research questions and effective approaches in bridging research, policy and practice.  Latest research findings will be shared — as well as how these findings are moving into action through partnerships, communication and non-traditional methods of dissemination.

SAVIR 2023 features fresh perspectives from thought leaders, advocates and change agents who aim to share innovations, re-energize attendees and seed new connections to accelerate progress in safety science.
