Currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students with an interest in injury research are invited to join Harborview Injury Prevention & Research Center’s Student Interest Group.
This new organization is designed to foster student engagement with injury research through faculty mentorship, database access, research support and inclusion in an interdisciplinary community of injury researchers. HIPRC’s work draws on epidemiology, social work, engineering, clinical medicine, nursing, anesthesiology, translational health science and other fields.
HIPRC also offers opportunities for students to present their research and network with established injury researchers.
Building from the success of the INSIGHT Summer Research Program, HIPRC developed the new group to support independent student research all year, not just during the summer months. Responsibilities of Student Interest Group members are detailed on the Student Interest Group website.
HIPRC is part of the University of Washington, but Student Interest Group membership is not limited to UW students.
To learn more or join, email brmills@uw.edu or visit the Student Interest Group website.
