Washington State Firearm Tragedy Prevention Network (Washington State FTPN) was developed in 2016 to provide a forum for organizations, individuals, businesses and others from a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds to work together to prevent firearm tragedies. The network is co-led by Seattle Children’s, Lock-It-Up, Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WCAAP), and the Harborview Injury Prevention & Research Center (HIPRC). Meetings take place twice per year in various locations around Washington.

Meeting topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Suicide prevention
  • Violence prevention and response
  • Injury prevention
  • Safe firearm storage
  • Community programming, tools, resources, education, and research
