Harborview Medical Center was recently awarded a new Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant for the ‘Special Projects Collaborative – Opioid Use Disorder,’ a three-year, $1.1 million project that will add medication for opioid use disorder services to two new low-barrier medical clinics recently funded by Public Health of Seattle and King County, and managed by Harborview’s Madison Clinic.
These two new medical clinics are located at Day Centers run by Catholic Community Services in South King County (Federal Way and Kent) that serve predominantly homeless populations.
Project Director is Elsa Tamru; Nurse Care Manager Trainer is Addy Adwell; and Medical Co-Directors are Joseph Merrill and Judith Tsui, HIPRC Associate Member.
