The INSIGHT Research Program has opened applications for summer 2021.

The program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and first-year medical students, and will run June 21 -Aug. 13, 2021.

Over the course of eight weeks, INSIGHT interns conduct mentored research projects and engage in injury seminars, academic skills workshops, and behind-the-scenes tours of medical facilities across Seattle. Interns also participate in injury and health-related shadowing experiences with physicians.

All INSIGHT interns receive a stipend, and qualifying individuals are also eligible for travel reimbursement awards. The INSIGHT Research Program is funded in part by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).

INSIGHT culminates with the INSIGHT Research Symposium, featuring a competitive poster session where interns share their work with physicians, researchers, faculty, and peers.
